Main phase of the BOPRA study was initiated at all six Finnish HEMS bases in December 2019. The pilot study provided valuable tools for improvement regarding the main study, which is currently being carried out as planned. So far approximately one hundred patients have been recruited in the main study, regardless of the low number of missions and weather conditions that prevent helicopter operations.
The data of the pilot study are currently being analyzed. Further information about the publication of the results will be provided later.
